First House Warming Gift

Yep just got my first house warming gift...my mother in law gave this to me today. It is a door knocker! WAY COOL and I can't wait to put it up on our door. I also have a mailbox with horses painted on it that I has been stored for the last 3 years and I will be putting that up too! Thanks Mom!

Here She Is!

Here she is...I don't know why I am calling it a her but maybe cause she has a classy look about her. Not a tough look like the other homes that are all brick front. We have our final walkthrough on Monday and today I just had an itch to go see it. I CAN'T WAIT. The last 3 months seemed to have past so slow as we waited to see our dream home go up. Well let me add, "close to dream that we can afford home" if it was my true dream home it would be on 100 acres with about 20 horses roaming free and it would be on a hill:-) For now this will TOTALLY suffice and I feel so blessed to have such a nice home.

I will send announcements out with our new address, don't worry but first we need to go to settlement:-)

Welcome Back!

I know we have been offline for some time now....let's just say it was because the bad guys ruin things for the good guy. From here on out our blog will just be stories with just a few pictures. I know so many of you followed our blog and I am flattered but for the safety of our family we have to keep it to a minimum with regard to personal content and pictures. Nothing happened but we are trying to be proactive, so moving forward....

We just got back earlier this week from a month stay in San Diego! Yep after three years the kids and I went home. Brian joined us a couple of weeks later and then we all went home together. Good thing because after going cross country with two kids all by myself I was NOT about to do that alone ever! I don't know how people do it but that was my last time. I don't need to torture myself and my kids....sorry everyone in CA. If Brian can't come with me I am not going:-) On a bright note, we arrived safely and the fun started. And boy did the fun start....HOT weather, muggy rooms, and sleep deprivation. But don't worry I didn't let those negative thoughts take over, we hit the beach and stayed outside on the beach as much as possible.

We did not do any parks, we really wanted to keep this a true vacation and not drive all over and try to do so much that by the time we got home we were exhausted from the vacation. We have learned that the hard way. So this time, we were more mature parents....stay on the beach, eat out sparingly to take advantage of local foods, and go to bed EARLY. The first few days the kids and I were going to bed at 5pm and getting up at 5am! Yep well EST that is 8pm and 8am so go figure. But after a week we were all on PST. Then of course when Daddy came out we had to be patient for him to adjust.

Least to say we had a blast, got tan, and enjoyed being so close to the most beautiful beaches. Well I think they are anyway. We learned that Kaden is a natural surfer, and we all could just be beach bums if we had to. Almost every day we spent half a day on the beach just sitting on the beach where the little waves roll on to shore, adventuring in tide pools, and let Aria exfoliate our bodies with sand. All in all it was GREAT...God is great too and we were so blessed to be able to take this vacation with the purchase of our new home in the forefront.

So now we are home, still adjusting back to EST but it's all good. And there is nothing like country to warm the heart...something about being in the country that I love, that we all love. It's good to be home.
